Glenn Gissler
New York Interior Designer
The hallmark of Glenn Gissler’s work is livability – Glenn earned degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design, and is known for creating sophisticated, thoughtful, personal, and very livable spaces, with a passion for incorporating art and antiques to create unique home environments.
While involving the client in every phase of planning, construction and furnishing, he and his team do everything they can to make the process as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible by paying close attention to issues of schedule, quality and the budget.
Glenn’s award-wining design work regularly appears in magazines, books and on-line venues. Projects have been featured in Town & Country, LUXE, NYC&G, Antiques & Fine Art, Maine Home + Design, Aspire, Elle Decor, InStyle, House & Garden, House Beautiful, Avenue, Interior Design, and The New York Times. Recently a room he designed in the 1980’s was included in INTERIORS: The Greatest Rooms of the Century and Glenn was of the 100 designers included in Carl Dellatore’s book Interior Design Master Class for Rizzoli where he wrote about ‘Alchemy’ in interior design.
Even after decades of experience working in a variety of design styles Glenn remains a self-described “student of interior design”; always looking to expand and enrich his knowledge and to create enduring homes that encourage his clients to have a deep sense of satisfaction.
